Refund & Cancellation Policy
This page sets out how deposits, cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are handled. The bracketed sections must be completed with Black Rock Lighting's actual business terms before launch.

Quotes and consultations
Quotes and consultations are provided at no charge unless we tell you otherwise in writing beforehand. A quote is not a booking — your project is scheduled only once you accept the quote in writing. [Confirm whether any consultation fee applies.]
Deposits
A deposit may be required to reserve an installation date and to order materials. [State the deposit amount or percentage, when it is due, and how it is applied to the final invoice.]

- After that window: [State what portion is retained, and why — e.g. materials ordered, scheduling held.]
Custom-ordered materials
Track, fixtures and trim colours are often ordered to match your home and cannot be returned once produced or cut to length. [State whether custom material costs are non-refundable once ordered, and how they are invoiced if a project is cancelled.]
Cancelling a booked installation
Please tell us as early as possible if you need to cancel. [State the notice period, the cancellation fee if any, and how a refund is calculated.]
Rescheduling and weather
Calgary weather can make roof work unsafe. If we postpone for safety reasons we will offer the next available date at no additional charge. [State how many customer-initiated reschedules are allowed and any fee that applies.]
Work already performed
If a project is cancelled after work has started, labour completed and materials installed or consumed to that point are chargeable. [State how partially completed work is priced and invoiced.]
Issues with completed work
If something is not right with an installation, contact us and we will inspect it. [State the process, any workmanship or product coverage actually offered, and its duration — do not state coverage that is not genuinely provided.]
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method where possible. [State the processing timeframe.]
Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page removes rights you have under Alberta or Canadian consumer protection law, including rules about deposits, cancellation rights and remedies for services that are not performed as agreed.
