Black Rock Lighting is a permanent exterior architectural lighting company based in Calgary, Alberta.
Our name comes from the idea at the centre of the work: a dark, solid mass that only shows its shape when light catches its edges. Houses behave the same way after sunset. Placed carefully, light doesn't cover a home — it draws it.
We work exclusively in permanent exterior lighting. That focus means every installation is planned around architecture rather than convenience: consistent spacing, consistent aim, concealed wiring, and hardware colour-matched to your trim so the system stays quiet in daylight.
We're based in Calgary and we install here, through Alberta winters, on Alberta rooflines.
